Advantages of oyster mushrooms over other cultivable edible mushroom types

Advantages of oyster mushrooms over other cultivable edible mushroom types are as follows: ✓Wide temperature tolerance. We have already given that oyster mushrooms can be grown between 5 and 30 °C, which presents among the widest temperature ranges for any mushroom. ✓Wide substrate choice. Oyster mushrooms can be grown on almost any dead plant matter. We call this material ligno-cellulossic material because it has lignin, cellulose and hemicelluloses, which are the food compo nents of mushrooms. ✓No need for composting. Oyster mushrooms are primary decomposers. There are only a few types of sawdust that need some composting before use as oyster mushroom substrate. All other materials just need soaking and pasteurising. ✓Simple substrates. Usually one substrate is adequate or a mixture of two substrates. Compare this with button mushroom composts which require several ingredients in specific ratios and added at specific stages during the composting procedure. ---

Mushrooms superfood of Present and Future

✓Mushrooms both add flavour to bland staple foods and are a valuable. ✓Food in their own right: they are often considered to provide a fair substitute for meat, with at least a comparable nutritional value to many vegetables. ✓The consumption of mushrooms can make a valuable addition to the often unbalanced diets of people in developing countries. ✓Fresh mushrooms have a high water content, around 90 percent, so drying them is an effective way to both prolonge their shelf-life and preserve their flavour and nutrients. ---------------------------------------------------------------- ✓Contact us for  # mushroomtraining ,  # mushroomseeds ,  # freshmushrooms ,  # drymushrooms ,  # mushroompickles ,  # mushroomcookies ,  # mushroomcandies ,  # mushroomsuperfood ✓Mushroom Learning Center Kolhapur Contact: 9923806933 Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/biobritte.agro
